Catching up

This is going to take some doing, to get caught up with my bloggin! It's not that we've been so busy, it's just that life gets going sometimes, and the last thing a pregnant girl wants to do in the evening is wait for pictures to load. I know, complain, complain! We did have a pretty busy holiday season, in spite of the bittersweet fact that we spent it here in Japan instead of with our fam's in Texas/Florida/etc. I think it was the right decision for this year, since traveling with the one bug is tough, and traveling with the two bugs is going to be doubly difficult come June. We are still scheduled to leave Misawa at the start of the summer, just as soon as this little boy arrives and we get him a passport. So we have lots of things to do this spring, like enjoy the time with our sweet friends, play in the 14 inches of snow that we got this last week, grow an enormously huge belly...

Sadie is so so funny in the snow. Those of you that know our girl know how sensitive she is to strange textures. She's never gotten used to grass on the feet for instance, so our biggest challenge lately is to make sure her snow boots are free of snow before we get into the car. "Bush em' off, mama, bush em' off!"

Our Christmas was fun, Mimi and Pops sent lots of farm toys, and Sadie got some neat books and puzzles and play dough toys. Tiff and Brett gave her a remote control car that just drives her crazy (get it?).

Anyway, pictures are of Thanksgiving at the Corbetts, being silly at the Navy Ball, after our first blizzard of the season, and then just some sweet ones of the Sades and Kaiya before it got too cold here. This last one is of my new beautiful nephew Lincoln Robert Surkamer. Congratulations to my sis and Joe. I will put these old pic's on tonight and then add some more later once I can get the pic's off of my camera.
